o 内容提要:

+ 开头说明写信的目的，感谢谁；

+ 简明扼要的介绍要感谢的人和事，写明时间、地点、人物、过程；

+ 提出你所要感谢的理由。

o 注意事项:

+ 叙述过程要具体；

+ 不牵扯无关情节；

+ 结尾用热情的话。

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Bonter, the accountant of your company.

I am a commuter and every day I take bus Route 183 to the workplace. Last Wednesday morning when the bus almost reached the stop where I was to get off, I unexpectedly felt dizzy and then I lost my consciousness and fell to the ground. When I was awakened, I found myself in the City Hospital attended by my wife. The physician told me it was Mr. Bonter who had sent me to the hospital and informed my wife of my misfortune. Mr. Bonter happened to be on the same bus, but I have never met him.

My wife and I were very much grateful to Mr. Bonter for his kindness. Please forward my heartfeltness to him. We feel very much proud of your company for having such a helpful employee. If Mr. Bonter was late for work that day, Id like to compensate you for the loss thus incurred.

I do hope that your company would reward Mr. Bonter for his selfless and noble deeds.
