Heisacollegestudent,buthedidnotconfinehimselftoclassroomreadingonly.(3).Hesaidifonereallywantstoknowthesocietyandtheworld,heorsheshouldgotothegrassrootstosee,hearandfindoutaboutreallife(4).Besides,manystudentslikehiminAustraliaworkatpart-timejobsafterclasssoastoearnalivingandsaveenoughfortraveling.
Iamabitolderthanheis.YetIfoundmyselflessknowledgeablethanheisaboutmanythingsintheworld.Likesomeofmyclassmatesatcollege,IoftenfeelconceitedformerelybeingacollegestudentandsometimesIevenlookeddownuponthosewhofailedtoentercollege(5).Wedidnothavetoworktoearnaliving,andtookmanythingsforgranted(6).
Weshouldnotjustadmireotherpeopleslivingstandardandopportunities.Whatweshoulddoistolearntheirspiritofself-relianceaswellasasenseofresponsibilityforthesocietytheylivein(7).
